Jay Janca

Operations Lead

Jay Janca, serves as Operations Lead with AlgEternal Technologies.  Born and raised in La Grange, Texas; the heart of Fayette County, Jay is proud to continue to call this his home.  He is married to the beautiful Dana, and they are blessed with two wonderful and energetic children, Reisy and Candyn.  As a family the Jancas enjoy many great moments together such as Baseball, Softball, Hunting, Fishing, Gardening, Cattle, Hay Production, and 4-H projects.  Jay also devotes many hours to his own Taxidermy business established in 2002.

After attending La Grange High School, Jay furthered his education through Blinn Jr. College in Brenham, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Resource and Environmental Management from Texas State, San Marcos, Texas along with a Minor in Plant and Soil Science.  While attending college, Jay was fortunate to intern with the Lower Colorado River Authority and begin a 15-year career with the organization, gaining experience and expertise in Hydrology, Water and Wastewater, Coal Plant Operations, and Environmental Management as a Sr. Coordinator.

The knowledge gained over the years has developed and prepared Jay for his current role with AlgEternal Technologies, where he has the opportunity to grow and produce Algae on a daily basis.  Jay says: “I am overwhelmingly excited to be a part of the team as we build the foundation and principles of this company.  I am very proud of the products that we have made available to the world and will continue to innovate new Algal technologies as we progress in making the world abundant with food for the global population.”
